The SmackDown Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 36 may well have been one of the most unique ever. John Morrison ensured he and The Miz remain title holders - for now. But the whole bout was rather strange from start to finish. Morrison's partner, The Miz, was unable to compete at WrestleMania as he was suffering from cold and flu symptoms when the match was taped. Therefore, the tag team championships were defended in a singles ladder match, with just one member from each team competing. Morrison took on Jimmy Uso and The New Day's Kofi Kingston. WrestleMania 36 is certainly a unique event, and this unique match fit the bill perfectly. It finished in dramatic fashion, will all three men climbing ladders to get their hands on the belts at the same time. But it's Morrison who came out victorious, tumbling to the canvas while grasping both championships.

Although Kofi and Jimmy also played a part in unhooking the belts, they technically lost the match because Morrison fell to the ground with them.

Pretty crazy, right? But it's been a rather strange WrestleMania from the very start.

The ongoing coronavirus situation has caused WWE to call an audible to ensure their biggest event of the year was able to go ahead.

For the first time ever, WrestleMania has been pre-taped and takes place in the Performance Center over two nights (Saturday and Sunday).

There is no crowd in attendance for either night.

The SmackDown tag team title match took place midway through night one.

Earlier on, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were crowned new Women's tag team champs, while Elias defeated King Corbin.

Becky Lynch also successfully defended the RAW Women's Championship, while Sami Zayn defeated Daniel Bryan to retain the Intercontinental title.
