Boxing legend Nigel Benn has been left devastated after his brother Mark sadly passed away due to the coronavirus.

The ongoing epidemic has ripped through the world, taking lives of thousands, which has led to countries going into lockdown and shutting all their borders to stop travelling.

'Stay Home. Save Lives' is the ongoing slogan for the devastating virus, with people urging everyone to stay inside their own house so that they don't spread the disease.

Sadly, however, thousands of lives are still being lost on a daily basis, and now it has impacted Nigel Benn and his family.

The former boxer took to his official Instagram account to break the news, confirming that his brother had passed away due to the virus.

Benn wrote: "My brother Mark passed Away 2day (Covid 19).

"As we all were growing up Mark was the Joker of the Benn house hold.

"May he Rest In Peace love u Mark."

This is now the second well known boxer who has lost a relative due to the coronavirus, after Anthony Yarde announced that BOTH his father and his nan had lost their battles as well.

The coronavirus is ripping through the entire world currently, and with each passing day, more and more numbers of deaths are being reported.

It's important, now more than ever, to remember to stay at home and do your best to save lives.

Our thoughts are with Nigel and the rest of the Benn family at this troubling time.
