Women's Sport: WrestleMania 36 - Becky Lynch retains Raw Women's title

Becky Lynch has defended her Raw Women’s Title against Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 36, but this has left the fan fuming.

The clash between “The Man” and the “Queen of Spades” was one of the most anticipated on the whole card. But this was over before it started as the champion took the win to upset former MMA fighter, even though Baszlet had dominated throughout the fight.

Baszlet looked the stronger opponent throughout, and everyone thought the gold was for her to claim. But, Lynch had other ideas and surprised her with a rollup to retain to the belt.

Majority of the fans were pleased with Lynch’s comeback, but some fans were left reeling with the results and the fact that, they were shortchanged because they didn’t get to see the superstars go at it for long after the significant build-up.

In an article by Gary Stonehouse of The Sun, fans commented.

“Wow that was such a bad finish to Baszler Lynch makes Shana look really weak…should have beat Becky up after to continue this feud it’s dead now.”

“Expected much more from Lynch/Baszler. Another deflated fan wrote: “I’m pretty disappointed in the Shayna Baszler vs Becky Lynch match.”

While another commented: “You could have given 8-10 more minutes to both Lynch-Baszler and Bryan-Zayn.”

A clearly disappointing finished for fans who were eagerly waiting for the superstar face to face, but Beth Lynch has once again shown why she is number one.
