Philippe Coutinho is being linked to Chelsea again. Water is wet.

At this time of global uncertainty, we can always do with a reassuring constant and the Brazilian's name is once again being lined up in the vicinity of Stamford Bridge ahead of the summer transfer window.

The playmaker's future remains unclear after he was shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich by Barcelona.

All the indications are that he won't be part of the Blaugrana's plans going forward after struggling to live up to his £142 million price tag.

However, what's never been in doubt is his quality.

It would certainly be intriguing to see him back in English football, where he shot to global prominence with Liverpool.

It's just a question of when the market will re-commence, amid questions of when the current season can be finished.

Nobody has forgotten his spell of 54 goals in 201 appearances at Anfield, especially not Chelsea fans, who are already getting excited at the prospect of his return to England.

According to the London Evening Standard, the 27-year-old is likely to cost in the region of €80m, with Leicester City also having been linked largely due to the presence of his old Reds boss Brendan Rodgers.

Things just didn't work out for Coutinho at Camp Nou, for whatever reason.

But a video of some of his finest moments is being re-shared thanks to Twitter user @CFCMod_and it's a fine reminder of his capabilities.

No wonder Frank Lampard is purported to be so keen.

The thought of Hakim Ziyech and Coutinho racing at Premier League defenders is a tantalising one.

The latter had a slow start at Bayern yet he's since stepped it up with eight Bundesliga goals and six assists.

It's for that reason that he will not be short of suitors if he does change clubs again this summer.
