It's not often that we turn towards WWE legend Hulk Hogan for advice during a global crisis, and maybe there's a reason for that.

Mr. America isn't normally quiet with his opinions on various issues, opinions which have previously got him in a fair bit of trouble, and it seems that the wrestling icon has decided to speak out on the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Comparing the current pandemic to the biblical 'plagues of Egypt' and insisting that God has 'taken away everything we worship', Hogan took to Instagram to spread the word.

"Word up, can you handle the truth my brother only love HH," he started.

"In three short months, just like He did with the plagues of Egypt, God has taken away everything we worship.

"God said, 'you want to worship athletes, I will shut down the stadiums. You want to worship musicians, I will shut down Civic Centers. You want to worship actors, I will shut down theatres.

"You want to worship money, I will shut down the economy and collapse the stock market. You don't want to go to church and worship Me, I will make it where you can't go to church.

"If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.'"

The fountain of knowledge continued to suggest that the world might not need a vaccine to combat the coronavirus, despite the efforts and advice of top scientists around the globe.

Hogan explained: "Maybe we don't need a vaccine. Maybe we need to take this time of isolation from the distractions of the world and have a personal revival where we focus on the ONLY thing that really matters. Jesus."

Thankfully, most world leaders are currently listening to medical professionals rather than retired wrestlers for their guidance. Let's hope it stays that way.
