Ronaldinho has been released from prison in Paraguay after his $1.6million bail was met.

The Brazilian will now stay under house arrest at the Hotel Palma Roga in Asuncion, per the AFP news agency.

The former Barcelona legend spent just 32 days incarcerated following his arrest after being found in possession of a fake passport.

A sum of $800,000 was also paid for his brother, who had been charged with the same offence.

The duo were caught with forged documentation on March 6.

Ronaldinho had been invited to Paraguay by a casino owner to take part in football training, as well as a book launch.

While there have been numerous rumours about what he's been getting up to in prison, including footage of him playing foot volleyball (you can see that HERE) it's undoubtedly been a very sad state of affairs.

Let's hope the World Cup winner can now start to get back on track.
