Ronaldinho was released from prison last night after 32 days having posted $1.6 million bail.

The World Cup winner had been incarcerated in Paraguay following his arrest in early March for attempting to enter the country with a fake passport.

His brother, who was also jailed on the same charges, has also been released on $800,000 bail.

Ronaldinho will now be kept under house arrest at the Hotel Palma Roga in Asuncion for an unspecified time.

The first images have now emerged of him since his release from prison. He can be seen below hugging a family member and being mobbed by journalists.

Whatever you make of the Brazilian's various scrapes since retirement, it's undoubtedly been a sad spectacle to see such a legend of the game fall from grace.

And according to ESPN Brazil, who cite Diario Ole in Argentina, it's been enough to convince EA Sports to consider removing his cards from FIFA 20.

The former Barcelona superstar currently has four ICON cards on Ultimate Team - rated 89, 91, 94 and 95.

Plenty of fans will no doubt be very disappointed at the prospect of Ronaldinho being taken off FIFA altogether when, let's face it, there are other pressing issues EA Sports could be fixing on the game.

However, the report stresses that it may not be through choice as legal problems are forcing their hand.

EA Sports set a precedent for removing legendary players last year when Marco van Basten was axed for using the Nazi phrase "Sieg Heil" on TV.
