They certainly don’t look like a group of players who are worried about potentially missing out on the Premier League title.
Coronavirus has delayed Liverpool’s first title in 30 years and it’s up in the air as to whether or not the season will continue.
Indeed, Watford stakeholder Pierpaolo Marino claimed on Tuesday that the Premier League will soon announce that its season is over.
Whether that’s true or not remains to be seen.
Instead, Liverpool fans will have to comfort themselves in the words of UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, who recently said he sees “no way” in which the Reds can finish the season without the title.
“I see no way for Liverpool to stay untitled. If the championship resumes, they will almost certainly win it - theoretically, it has not yet reached the guaranteed level, but it is practically close," Ceferin told Slovenian sports daily Ekipa, per Sky Sports.
"However, if it could not be played, it would also be necessary to announce the results in some way and find some key on how the champions should be determined.
“And, of course, again I do not see a scenario in which that would not be Liverpool.”
