The Premier League has been blessed with a plethora of great managers.

Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger both did battle in England's top tier for over 15 years with Manchester United and Arsenal respectively.

Jose Mourinho made his mark after joining Chelsea in 2004, while now Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola are arguably the two most talented managers in the world.

It would be a hard task to rank the top 10 greatest managers in England's top tier since 1992, but that's exactly what Alan Shearer and Ian Wright have done on the new Match of the Day podcast.

The two Premier League legends agreed on the 10 managers selected before ranking them themselves. View their selections below...

Alan Shearer's top 10:

10. Carlo Ancelotti

9. Rafael Benitez

8. Sir Bobby Robson

7. Claudio Rainieri

6. Jurgen Klopp

5. Sir Kenny Dalglish

4. Pep Guardiola

3. Jose Mourinho

2. Arsene Wenger

1. Sir Alex Ferguson

Ancelotti proved himself to be a great manager when he won the Premier League title with Chelsea in his first season in charge.

But he was unable to to replicate that feat in his second season and was sacked.

He's now at Everton but, due to his lack of time spent in the league, his spot near the bottom of this list is fair.

Benitez did great work at Liverpool and Newcastle but, ultimately, managers are judged on their greatness by amount of Premier League titles won. Unfortunately, he has failed to win one yet.

Klopp looks set to win his first Premier League title this season and is well on his way to becoming one of the greatest the league has seen.

You simply cannot dispute that top four. Guardiola, if he continues in the league for a few more years, has the potential to go past Mourinho and Wenger if he keeps winning titles.

Ian Wright's top 10:

10. Claudio Ranieri

9. Carlo Ancelotti

8. Sir Bobby Robson

7. Rafael Benitez

6. Jurgen Klopp

5. Sir Kenny Dalglish

4. Pep Guardiola

3. Jose Mourinho

2. Arsene Wenger

1. Sir Alex Ferguson

Ranieri did great work at Chelsea, helping them qualify to the Champions League for the first time in 2003/04.

He then went on to produce a miracle with Leicester as he guided them to the title in 2015/16, despite being the favourites for the drop that season.

That spell ended in failure and he also struggled at Fulham. But, due to that campaign in 2015/16, he deserves a higher spot on this table.

Robson is one of the greatest managers England has ever produced. That cannot be denied.

But if we're basing his success solely on the Premier League era, he deserves a spot near the bottom of the list.

He he guided Newcastle to three top five finishes in his five seasons in charge. Ultimately, though, they didn't come close to the title.

Dalglish deserves his spot for guiding Blackburn to the Premier League in 1992 and then winning it three years later.

James Stroud's top 10:

And here's how I think the top 10 should look...

10. Rafael Benitez

9. Carlo Ancelotti

8. Sir Bobby Robson

7. Claudio Ranieri

6. Jurgen Klopp

5. Sir Kenny Dalglish

4. Pep Guardiola

3. Jose Mourinho

2. Arsene Wenger

1. Sir Alex Ferguson

There's no denying that Ferguson should be top of the list.

He won a ridiculous 13 Premier League titles during his reign. The other nine managers on the list only won 11.

That just goes to show how much of a genius Ferguson was.

You can never say never, but it's hard to imagine a Premier League manager ever matching Ferguson's achievements.
