For reasons we can’t quite explain, Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope is now one of the most skillful players on FIFA 20.

The England shot stopper has been given a skill moves upgrade to five stars on FIFA Ultimate Team, which means the Soham-born keeper is now as elusive as Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

In recent hours, fans have been taking advantage of his newly acquired skill-set by bringing the 27-year-old out of his goal for a laugh. In fact, one gamer scored one of the most outrageous goals in FIFA history with the Burnley number one.

The video below demonstrates the quite incredible skills of Pope as he dribbles past nearly every opposition defender throwing reverse step-overs and drag back sombrero flicks at will.

Pope’s new found abilities out of goal combined with his 88 handling, 88 positioning, 87 reflexes and 87 diving make him one of top all round players the game has ever seen.

Imagine running the length of the pitch and blasting a screamer in the top corner one minute and the next making a full-stretch one-handed wonder save.

So, the question is, how do you complete this Squad Building Challenge?

All that’s required is one England player, a team chemistry of at least 80, and a team rating of at least 84.

EA Sports announced the five-star skiller last night, with social media erupting at the news.
