Imagine being a Liverpool player right about now.It must be strange to know that you’re on the brink of winning the club’s first ever Premier League title but also know that the season could be completely cancelled. How do you find the motivation to stay fit and stay hungry when the future is so uncertain?Well, like most of us, the squad appear to be staying in touch during lockdown by having 'Zoom' meet-ups.Earlier this week, we saw the squad log-in to sing youngster Harvey Elliott ‘Happy birthday’ in many different languages. But it’s not all fun and games. On Friday, the club released a video of the squad after what appeared to be a pretty tough bike workout.English trio Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana looked absolutely knackered as rehabilitation fitness coach, David Rydings, puts them through their paces. Then the camera switches to Virgil van Dijk, who looks like he’s just been on a gentle pedal down the park.“Virg, have you done anything?” Skipper Henderson asks.“I never sweat,” Van Dijk replied.

The Dutchman does a bike workout like he plays football.

The video then shows the likes of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Dejan Lovren and Xherdan Shaqiri as they discuss getting a shaved head - like Lallana and assistant manager Pep Lijnders have.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is also dismayed at the fact that whoever he is staying with has decided to buy a hammock and a trampoline, restricting his ability to practise golf.

With no live football on TV, this is the kind of content we’re relying on for the next couple of months.
