Adel Taarabt has had a turbulent career. The Moroccan midfielder was highly thought of when he made his debut for Spurs in 2007.But he found first-team opportunities to hard by as he failed to score in 16 appearances for the north London club.Taarabt then moved on to QPR, spending six years at the club, before spending time at Benfica and Genoa. Now 30, Taarabt has been rebuilding his career at the Portuguese club. The best spell of Taarabt's career came when he was at QPR.In the 2010/11 season, he was undoubtedly the best player in English football outside of the Premier League. In that campaign, Taarabt scored 19 goals and got 16 assists. It really was an extraordinary season put together by the Moroccan, which was recognised as he was awarded the Football League Player of the Year.A video of his highlights that season are being shared by football fans and they are a joy to watch.

What a player he was. He embarrassed opposition players on a regular basis and also chipped in with a number of screamers.

Football fans have been gushing about how good Taarabt used to be after watching the video.

@markie_q_bbq said: "He really was, one of the most entertaining players I've ever watched. Even the simple stuff he made look good. Shame he got his head turned so much in the summer after promotion."

"Ridiculous.......imagine the career he could've had if he'd actually been arsed," @n4th4n3v4n5 commented.

While said @CripperCurrie11: "Unbelievably talented, joy to watch at times!!"

Another video of Taarabt that has gone viral in recent days is his skill to humiliate Derby County's Craig Fagan while he was at Spurs.

Just look at Anthony Gardeners reaction. That says it all.

He really was a talented youngster. It's just a shame that he didn't have the drive and determination to work hard and be the best he could be.

If he did, he would have had a very good Premier League career.
