The Undertaker's 'Boneyard Match' with AJ Styles was one of the highlights from WrestleMania 36.

It served to capture the imagination of WWE fans at a time when they needed an escape the most.

The coronavirus pandemic may have forced most of WrestleMania into an empty Performance Center, but 'Taker vs Styles took place off-site.

And boy did the gamble pay off.

Speaking less than a week after burying AJ six-feet under, The Deadman has opened up about their match, saying he 'couldn't be more proud of it'.

"So, obviously, I always envisioned this match happening in a live arena," Undertaker said during an interview with Nine Line Apparel, per Cageside Seats

"Then somewhere in the last couple of weeks when we didn’t even know what was going to happen the next day, the idea was thrown at me about doing something off-site.

"I was like 'that’s a much better option than trying to have the match that AJ and Undertaker would have inside an empty arena.'

"I guess in our case we were very fortunate to be able to go off-site and do what we did. The final product, I couldn’t be more proud of it.

"Under the circumstances, all the different things going on, for everybody to pull together and put something like that out there... it was different, it was intriguing.

I can’t speak for AJ but I’m very proud of what we did.

It's rare to hear Undertaker talk so openly about a match so soon after it happened - but he has reason to be very proud of it.

The WWE legend was hinting at the 'Unholy Trinity' before WrestleMania and following the show, he's revealed what that actually is.

"A lot of people were curious, 'What is the Unholy Trinity?'" he continued.

"Well, the Unholy Trinity that I referenced was The Deadman, The Badass, and the man himself, Mark Calaway, and I put them all together."

WrestleMania 36 was a hit with many WWE fans and the Boneyard Match was certainly a favourite.

It will go down as this year's most iconic - but will no doubt hold a place amongst some of the most memorable in recent history too.
