Lionesses and Arsenal football player Jordan Nobbs participated in the Football’s Staying Home Cup FIFA20 tournament alongside fellow stars from the men’s and women’s international teams.

The tournament was to raise the awareness of the global pandemic COVID19 and to fundraise for the National Emergency Trust, which viewers were able to donate to the cause.  

Nobbs lost her last 16 games 4-0 to Arsenal men’s star Eddie Nketiah. But fellow player Fran Kirby of Chelsea women netted a hat-trick, and Nikita Parris, who recently joined French side Lyon, added one as Nobbs exited the tournament.

Lionesses duo Ellie Roebuck and Lucy Bronze also went head to head, but Bronze - who recently won the BBC Sport Women’s Footballer of the Year coming out on top thanks to a golden goal from former Gunners star Jodie Taylor.

The funds raised will be going to a network of 50 community foundations that work to provide support to those most in need at a local level.
