Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has rewarded his senior players for their efforts in Saturday night's 2-1 Euro 2012 qualifier victory over Macedonia by sending them home.
Skipper Robbie Keane, Kevin Kilbane, Richard Dunne, Damien Duff and the injured Kevin Doyle have all been withdrawn from the squad for Tuesday night's friendly against Uruguay at the Aviva Stadium.
Wolves striker Doyle was due to undergo scans on Sunday on the medial ligament he damaged against Macedonia with initial examinations suggesting his domestic season could be effectively over.
However, despite dispensing with the services of he and Keane - after losing Leon Best to injury earlier in the week and with Jon Walters not now joining up after the birth of his son - Trapattoni is yet to call up any replacements.
He has, however, put Celtic's Anthony Stokes and CSKA Sofia's Cillian Sheridan on stand-by.
