The New Day were crowned SmackDown Tag Team Champions on Friday night. In the main event of last night's show, Big E defeated Jey Uso and The Miz to capture the titles for the group. The match was made after former champion John Morrison represented himself and Miz at WrestleMania 36, retaining the titles against Jimmy Uso and Kofi Kingston. But while Morrison successfully defended, The Awesome One failed to do so. He was the one pinned by Big E, who connected with a Big Ending for the three count. Victory means The New Day are now eight-time tag team champs in WWE.They have held the SmackDown titles six times and have also won the RAW Tag Team Championships twice. Check out some of the best moments from the match below:

Due to the on-going coronavirus crisis, Big E was the only member of The New Day in the building on Friday night.

WWE are currently broadcasting from their Performance Center in Orlando - working on a closed set.

Kofi and Xavier Woods did react to their partner's win from home though, celebrating live via satellite.

The new tag team champs will likely have their first title defence at next month's Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

Before Friday's main event, WWE announced major changes to the event's flagship match. Their statement reads:

"This year’s WWE Money In The Bank Men’s and Women’s Match participants will have an even more unique challenge ahead of them than usual.

"The match begins on the ground floor of WWE Headquarters, but the briefcases - containing contracts for a championship match anytime, anyplace - will be hanging all the way up on the roof of the corporate tower."

It certainly sounds unique, doesn't it?
