Liverpool fans are excited about the prospect of wearing Nike kits next season.Nike are the sportswear giant that every team wants to be associated with. They’re synonymous with the biggest clubs and athletes in the sports world.Leaked images of their Liverpool kits for the 2020/21 season have already emerged. The home shirt will apparently feature teal and white stripes around the collar and sleeves. The move to Nike comes after a court ruled in October that Liverpool could end their association with New Balance.US company New Balance were keen to remain Liverpool’s kit supplier and thought they could renew its sponsorship if it matched any competitor’s offer. However, a court ruled that New Balance couldn’t compete with Nike’s marketing plans. However, New Balance were in the process of designing Liverpool kits for next season and Empire of the Kop have managed to get their hands on a couple of prototypes.

The badge on both the home and away shirts is placed inside a shield, with the reverse to the shield bearing a message.

On the home shirt, it has lyrics to You’ll Never Walk Alone, while the away shirt has lyrics to A Liverbird Upon My Chest.

In our opinion, the away shirt is rather uninspiring and the colour is not appealing. But the home shirt is actually quite nice.

These aren’t certain to be New Balance’s final designs but they were reportedly created late on in the process.

Speaking about the Nike agreement, Liverpool’s managing director Billy Hogan said: “Our iconic kit is a key part of our history and identity.

"We welcome Nike into the LFC family as our new official kit supplier and expect them to be an incredible partner for the club, both at home and globally as we continue to expand our fanbase.”
