The most entertaining teams in Premier League history have been revealed.

Betting firm Spreadex, per the Mirror, have devised a points-based system to decide the 10 teams that have entertained fans the most in the past 28 years.

Their system awards points for each match over the course of a season, with points awarded for wins, clean sheets and goals.

Points are also taken away for yellow and red cards, while no points are given for a loss.

10. Liverpool (2013/14) - 71.37

Liverpool's side under Brendan Rodgers were the definition of entertaining.

They were incredible in attack, with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge scoring 52 goals between them that season. Overall, the team scored 101 Premier League goals.

But they were also hopeless in defence which meant they featured in a lot of high-scoring games, including that famous 3-3 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, they could not quite hold on to win the Premier League title.

9. Man United (2009/10) - 73.18

Like Liverpool's 2013/14 side, Man United also missed out on the title.

United racked up 85 points and scored 86 goals, but they were denied their fourth consecutive Premier League crown by Chelsea.

8. Man City (2011/12) - 73.47

Man City were involved in the most dramatic games in Premier League history in 2012.

Sergio Aguero's last-minute goal to win the league just sums up how entertaining this side were.

That win meant they won the title from goal difference against Man United. In total, they racked up 89 points and scored 93 times.

7. Man United (2011/12) - 75.05

Man City may have won the title in 2012, but it was Man United who were statistically the better team to watch.

One game where they provided immense amounts of entertainment was there 8-2 drubbing of Arsenal, with Wayne Rooney bagging himself a hat-trick.

6. Man City (2013/14) - 76.03

Man City narrowly held off Liverpool to win the Premier League title in 2013/14 and they were also more entertaining.

They scored 102 goals this campaign, one more than the Reds.

5. Liverpool (2018/19) - 76.11

Liverpool won 30 games and lost just once last season, but it wasn't enough as Pep Guardiola's Man City beat them to the title by a single point.

4. Liverpool (2019/20) - 76.66

As things stand, Liverpool's current side are the fourth best team to watch in Premier League history.

They were threatening an unbeaten season until they were smashed 3-0 by Watford in their 29th league game.

The Reds currently have a 25-point lead at the top of the table and will win their first Premier League crown... if the season resumes.

3. Chelsea (2009/10) - 77.97

Chelsea scored 103 goals and recorded a goal difference of +71 in the 2009/10 season.

They won the title by a single point and in style as they smashed Wigan 8-0 at Stamford Bridge on the final day of the campaign.

2. Man City (2018/19) - 81.68

Man City won 32 of their 28 Premier League games to win the title in 2019.

They recorded 98 points and scored 95 goals as they held off Liverpool to win their fourth Premier League crown.

1. Man City (2017/18) - 82.55

Pep Guardiola's centurions are statistically the most entertaining side in Premier League history.

They became the first side in the Premier League history to reach the 100-point mark.

They also broke records for most points (100), most away points (50), most points ahead of second (19), most wins (32), most away wins (16), most goals (106), best goal difference (+79) and most consecutive victories (18).

These are the 10 most entertaining sides in Premier League history.

Interestingly, all of them came during or after the 2009/10 season.

Multiple legendary sides miss out. 

Manchester United's treble winners don't make the list, while Leicester's Premier League winning side and Arsenal's Invincibles also miss out.
