Newcastle are set to become one of the richest clubs in the world.
The takeover, funded by the Saudi Arabia royal family’s Public Investment Fund, will reportedly be completed in the coming weeks and end Mike Ashley's 13-year tenure at the club.
The group is led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and is believed to have assets worth more than £260 billion.
To put that into context, if you add the wealth of all 19 owners together they would still be far short of that figure.
We’re not quite sure just how heavily Bin Salman will invest into this Newcastle squad - reports suggest £200 million will be available to spend this summer - but you can certainly expect some big-name arrivals when the takeover eventually goes through.
There has been talk of Kylian Mbappe but even with all the money in the world, that seems likely.
So who are the most likely signings this summer?
Well, bookmakers Paddy Power have released odds of the 20 players Newcastle are most likely to sign before 31st January 2021.
Let’s take a look:
Kylian Mbappe (50/1) - Yeah, this simply isn’t going to happen despite the far-fetched rumours.
Neymar (50/1) - Like Mbappe, there’s very little chance of Neymar swapping Paris for Newcastle.
Robinho (40/1) - Robinho turns 37 in January so his arrival would probably be a bit underwhelming in truth.
Erling Haaland (33/1) - No doubt a future Ballon d’Or winner but after recently signing for Borussia Dortmund, you can’t imagine he’ll be moving to Newcastle before the end of January.
Jadon Sancho (33/1) - Sancho could well be leaving Dortmund either in the summer or next January but the bookies clearly don’t think he’ll be heading to St James’ Park.
James Maddison (25/1) - The Leicester midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United but could he be tempted with a move to Newcastle? 25/1 odds suggests probably not.
Hulk (25/1) - The Brazilian turns 34 in the summer and Newcastle should probably be setting their sights a little bit higher if they’ve got £200 million to spend.
Papiss Cisse (25/1) - A return to Newcastle for Cisse - who turns 34 in the summer? He’s currently playing in Turkey for Alanyaspor.
Dayot Upamecano (20/1) - The highly-rated RB Leipzig defender is touted for a big move this summer. It’s 20/1 that big move will be to Newcastle.
Nabil Fekir (18/1) - The Frenchman so nearly joined Liverpool a few summers ago but he’s now impressing for Real Betis.
Jack Grealish (16/1) - It seems likely that Grealish will join Manchester United but if he doesn’t - and Aston Villa do go down - Newcastle could get involved.
Luka Modric (16/1) - The former Ballon d’Or winner turns 35 in September. Is a return to the Premier League on the cards?
Hatem Ben Arfa (12/1) - A cult hero on Tyneside after spending three seasons playing for the club between 2010 and 2014. The 33-year-old is currently at Valladolid.
Declan Rice (12/1) - A move from West Ham to Newcastle may be viewed as a bit of a sideways move from Rice.
Moussa Sissoko (12/1) - A signing that Newcastle fans may not be totally excited about considering some of the names they’ve been linked to. But Sissoko gave Newcastle three-and-a-half years of good service before his move to Spurs and would be an astute purchase.
Max Aarons (12/1) - The 20-year-old has impressed in the Premier League for Norwich this season and would definitely be a good signing.
Philippe Coutinho (10/1) - We’re getting into the most realistic signings now. Coutinho has reached a crossroads in his career with Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Signing the 27-year-old would be a massive coup.
James Milner (10/1) - James Milner recently signed an extension to his Liverpool contract but the 34-year-old could be tempted to return to the club he played 136 times for.
Odsonne Edouard (10/1) - The 22-year-old won’t be at Celtic for too much longer having impressed in Scotland for the last three seasons.
James Rodriguez (9/1) - So, the most likely player to arrive at St James’ Park before the end of January is Real Madrid’s Rodriguez. The 28-year-old Colombian has spent two seasons at Bayern Munich but has since returned to Real Madrid. He could well be looking for a permanent move.
