Unless you have been living under a rock, much like Patrick Star from SpongeBob, then you will have heard that we are in for another hefty stint indoors – another three weeks to be exact.Much like the rest of the nation, you have probably allowed yourself the luxury of sitting at home and binge watching Netflix without worrying that you should really be doing something a little more productive, like going outside for instance.Seeing as there is nowhere to go thanks to the coronavirus pandemic for the next few weeks, why not sit back and find out what absolute classic Netflix has just dropped. The popular streaming service, as of today, has given viewers the chance to re-live their childhood by releasing Space Jam onto our screens.Space Jam, like it or not, is a classic 90’s sorts film. A mash-up between sports, comedy and cartoons, and went down a storm at the box-office upon its release. The formula for its success was very simple actually. The film takes a bunch of cartoon characters and NBA’s most iconic athlete to have ever lived Michael Jordan.Jordan’s career in the NBA spanned over 15 seasons, winning six championships with the Chicago Bulls. Jordan revolutionised the sport of basketball and brought it to the mainstream during the 1980’s and 90’s.The NBA’s first billionaire player crossed over into film and it was destined for success. The film documents Jordan’s comeback as he enlists the help of the Looney Tunes. It is safe to say that a large portion of 90’s kids will have grown up on Space Jam and will be itching to watch it now it’s finally available on Netflix. If you haven’t watched Space Jam, now is as good a time than ever to do so, it’s going to be a long lockdown without entertainment, that’s for sure.Below you can see what else Netflix UK have planned over the next week.
