Jadon Sancho has 'agreed almost every detail of a move' to Manchester United

There are plenty of unanswered questions in the footballing world right now.

Will the 2019/20 season be completed? When will the 2020/21 campaign start?

At the moment, there are simply no answers to the two main questions on everyone’s lips.

Amid the uncertainty, though, clubs will still have to continue to plan for when football does eventually return.

And that includes looking to make new signings ahead of football’s eventual resumption.

The transfer window dates may have to be altered but some clubs are already looking to strengthen.

And that includes Manchester United – who believe they have already made their first signing of the summer.

According to The Sun, United believe they have won the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

Sancho is believed to have agreed every aspect of the deal including the length of his contract, his salary, bonuses and a huge buyout clause.

The only thing that is left is for United to sort out a fee with the German club.

Dortmund want more than the £89 million the Red Devils paid for Paul Pogba from Juventus in 2016.

Even with the coronavirus pandemic set to heavily affect the market and club’s finances, that figure shouldn’t be too much of an issue for one of the richest institutions in the world.

It would, of course, be a return to Manchester if Sancho does sign for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

He spent his youth days at Manchester City before leaving the Etihad at the age of 17 after seeing his path to Pep Guardiola’s first team blocked by world-class talent.

Now, the 20-year-old could return to the city but in a red shirt – and worth around £100 million.

What a signing it would be if United can get it over the line…
