It was billed as the 'Fight of the Century' but, after years of waiting, a shadow of doubt hung over the monumental 2015 bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. The pair had been dancing in circles around each other for what felt like an age and, by the time they finally agreed to a fight, many felt it came far too late. Some subscribed to the notion that Mayweather had been playing a stalling game, patiently waiting for Pacquiao to pass his peak before agreeing to fight the Filipino master, while still others felt that even Floyd was past his best.Ultimately, it was Mayweather who triumphed on that famous Las Vegas night with Pacquiao reportedly struggling throughout with a shoulder injury. The fight itself was somewhat of an anticlimax and, you couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret that two of the greatest fighters of a generation had waited so long to come to blows.Since that day, there have been murmurings on and off of a potential rematch but, as the months and years tick by, that possibility looks increasingly unlikely.Mayweather retired unbeaten and Pacquiao has taken to politics in his native home.So how do two of the finest fighters the world has ever known spend their free time? Well, it seems that they are training their sons to pick up their mantle.Influential boxing journalist Michael Benson tweeted a video of the pair training their sons in the gym and at home and it certainly looks as though the apples haven't fallen far from the tree.

Very impressive indeed.

Now we are in no way suggesting that there is any notion towards a possible Mayweather Jr v Pacquiao Jr bout, but the mind can't help but wonder.

Just imagine the scenes if the next generation were to take on the baton and continue the bitter family rivalry.

Odds are it won't happen - it's a wild fantasy at best - but we like to believe in such things sometimes.

Maybe someday in the future, we will get Mayweather v Pacquiao 2 - it just won't be quite what we expected.
