With Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks, Real Madrid knew they always stood a chance against Barcelona - even the greatest Barcelona team of all time.Barça were notoriously difficult to beat during the Pep Guardiola era (2008-2012) but the talismanic Ronaldo still managed to score his fair share of goals against them during various Clasicos following his arrival from Manchester United in the summer of 2009.The Portuguese superstar tasted his first La Liga victory over the Catalan outfit on April 21, 2012 - and, needless to say, he played a starring role on the night.Sami Khedira broke the deadlock for Madrid at Camp Nou in the 17th minute before Alexis Sanchez equalised in the 70th.But just three minutes later, Ronaldo sealed all three points for Los Blancos thanks to one of the most famous goals of his illustrious career - which was followed up with one of his most memorable celebrations. After running on to Mesut Ozil’s long-range pass, Ronaldo proceeded to round Victor Valdes before finishing into the unguarded net from an acute angle. The world-class forward then produced his epic ‘calma’ celebration in front of a hushed Camp Nou.

However, as this footage from the stands prove, Ronaldo’s cheeky celebration did *not* go down well with the home fans, who reacted by shouting all kinds of Spanish insults at Madrid’s No. 7.

Ronaldo’s goal saw Real Madrid take a giant leap towards their first La Liga title since 2008.

Furthermore, this was Barcelona’s first home defeat in 55 games.

Just six days later, Guardiola announced that he was bringing an end to his spell as Barça head coach.

"The reason is simple: four years is enough,” he told reporters.

"I'm drained and I need to fill up. The demand has been very high and a manager must be strong."

Did Ronaldo’s winning goal in that Clasico lead to Pep’s decision?

We’ll never know for sure - but it may well have been a contributing factor.
