Rob Gronkowski is back in the NFL. The former New England Patriots star came out of retirement on Tuesday night to sign with Tampa Bay. He'll join up with ex-teammate Tom Brady at the Buccaneers, hoping to re-form a dominant partnership that led to the pair winning three Super Bowl rings together. It's no doubt very exciting news for the NFL world, but there's still a minor the issue for Gronk to sort out in WWE.He's currently the 24/7 Champion, having won the title at WrestleMania by pinning Mojo Rawley. As we all know, this belt is a bit different to the rest. It can be defended at any time, in any place... as long as there's a referee present. So, will Gronkowski have to vacate the title now he's resigned with the NFL? Normally you'd think so, but that's apparently not the case. WWE tweeted their congratulations to the tight end on Tuesday night, while hinting he can still defend the 24/7 Championship. "Congratulations to Rob Gronkowski, the current WWE 24/7 Champion, on his return to football," they wrote."Per the rules of the 24/7 Title, Gronk must defend his championship at all times in any location. He could be celebrating a touchdown pass from Tom Brady... anytime, anywhere."

Well, it certainly sounds like WWE are hinting at something big.

Would it really be a shock to see Gronk pinned in the end zone by R-Truth at half-time of the Bucs' opening NFL game?

Given WWE's love for publicity stunts, it could happen.

Of course, we may see the football star lose his title in a different scenario. After all, he signed a contract to join WWE in March, so could appear on SmackDown or RAW instead.

Whatever happens, it seems Gronk will be going out with a bang. Otherwise, he would just have been stripped of the 24/7 Championship.
