In 2006, Arsenal made it to their first ever European Cup final.

The Gunners hadn't tasted defeat on their run to the final, beating Juventus, Real Madrid and Villarreal along the way.

They faced Barcelona in the final at the Stade de France in Paris.

However, they would be denied the title in heartbreaking fashion.

Arsenal were reduced to 10-men after just 18 minutes when Jens Lehmann was sent off for a foul on Samuel Eto'o.

Despite being a man down, Arsene Wenger's side went into the break with the lead when Sol Campbell headed home after 37 minutes.

With 15 minutes to go, Arsenal still held the slender advantage. But they could not hold on.

Eto'o restored parity with 14 minutes remaining and then Beletti struck the winner four minutes later.

As you can imagine, Thierry Henry was not impressed at the final whistle.

The Frenchman delivered one of the most incredible post-match interviews ever at full-time.

The video has come to light once again on Reddit and it's an incredible watch.

Henry started by slating referee, Terje Hauge.

"I think we can be proud of ourselves, more than proud. I don't want to start any arguments but I don't know if the ref had a Barcelona shirt on or something," he began.

"They kicked me all over the place in the first half. I got the ball here and he gave me a yellow card. I don't know if they're not used to the pace of the Premier League or the desire, but I thought that was harsh, I'm sorry.

"Clear enough maybe for Jens [Lehmann], but I told the ref, 'I'm sorry, if you don't want us to win it, just say it from the start'.

"I don't think he cost us the final, you can't say that. We were 1-0 up and against a team like Barcelona… All the things we did for a very long time was more than difficult, but I'm just saying that sometimes some of the calls in the game were a bit strange."

Henry then said he won't dive because he's not a woman.

"Next time I'll dive maybe," he continued. "They try to kick me in my knee, my ankle, but I'm not a woman so I stay on my feet. I would expect the ref to do his job but I don't think he did."

Henry then called out Ronaldinho and Eto'o for not making a mark in the final.

"I think at the end of the day they (the Arsenal fans) can be happy," he added. "We played with 10 men the whole game. All the time you talk about Ronaldinho and everything - I didn't see him today. I saw Henrik Larsson. Two times he came alive, that was the key.

"All the time you talk about Ronaldinho and Eto'o and people like that. Let's talk about the proper people who make the difference, that was Henrik Larsson, who made two assists. I didn't see Ronaldinho and I didn't see Eto'o. I would have liked to see a proper ref also."

Henry then called out Puyol and Rafael Marquez and claimed the latter tried to break his ankles.

"I said I wouldn't think about it (his future at Arsenal)," he said. "I've said about all the effort we did, I can't complain about the sending off Jens, but I'm sorry if you look at the game again, so many times [Carles] Puyol should have got a yellow card.

"So many times [Rafael] Marquez came from behind to break my ankles, didn't get a yellow card. To defend against me with a yellow card isn't the same game anymore. But hey, I think we can be proud - I'm just upset for the Arsenal fans."

Incredible. What an interview.

Henry didn't stay mad at Barcelona for long, though, as he ended up joining them just over 12 months later.
