Arn Anderson claims Cesaro isn't liked by WWE management and suggests that's why he's not a main-event character for the company.
The former producer, who is currently signed to AEW, also revealed the 'front office' have previously told him to stop doing his 'impressive moves' in the ring.
Speaking on his ARN podcast, Anderson explained:
"He’s not a favourite guy, as you know, of the front office, for whatever reason that is.
"They’re the only ones that know because everyone else across the planet seems to think he’s a Superstar.
"But he continued to get leaned on to stop doing all that stuff [impressive moves] as a heel. It was just too flashy and all that."
Anderson even went on to hit out at the higher-ups for 'cheating the audience' by not allowing them to witness the moves that only Cesaro has the ability to pull off.
It's certainly very surprising to hear he isn't fancied by WWE management - but looking at his career to date, that makes sense.
The Swiss Cyborg joined the company in 2011 and shortly after debuting on the main roster, won the United States Championship.
That was his first - and incredibly only - singles title to date, despite the fact he impressed fans from the very beginning.
Since that lone title win in 2012, Cesaro has been more of a tag-team player.
He is actually a six-time Tag Team Champion, but many still believe he deserves a stronger push as a singles competitor.
Whether that will actually happen though, is another issue. Incredibly, he's not won a singles match on SmackDown or RAW since JULY 2019.
Cesaro has been very successful working with Sheamus over the years though and has more recently been aligned with Shinsuke Nakamura and Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn.
It doesn't look like that programme is ending anytime soon, either. So we'll be waiting a while to see him in singles action.
