Tyson Fury revealed during one of his home workouts this week that in his early years of boxing, he used to drink a can of Foster’s larger in between rounds during his training sessions.

While taking a break from exercising, The Gypsy King reminded his fans and viewers the importance of staying hydrated, however, he later said: “After being around boxing my whole life, I have seen people drinking some weird stuff during training.

“Example, full fat coke, Red Bull, milkshake. I have even seen someone drinking a can of Foster’s in between rounds. Mention no names – Tyson Fury.”

“Ah, good old days, eh?”

Since making his return to boxing in 2018, Fury has certainly taken his training far more seriously, employing a team of coaches including Billy Joe Saunders’ coach Ben Davison, who helped reduce his weight from 28 stone following a period of depression that forced him to vacate the belts he won from against Wladimir Kiltschko in 2015.

In preparation for his most recent battle with Deontay Wilder, Fury relied on not just his new trainer SugarHill Steward, but also the services of Conor McGregor’s nutritionist George Lockhart.

Lockhart’s diet forced ‘The Gypsy King’ to ditch his much loved Diet Coke as well as incorporating Greek Yogurt, salmon, pork loin and Thai curry into his daily diet.

All the dieting and training clearly paid off as it ultimately led to his devastating seventh-round victory over Wilder in Las Vegas earlier this year.

Fury has subsequently remained in terrific shape and continues to motivate and inspire his fans by sharing daily workouts live on his Instagram with his family, as well as providing us with some much needed entertainment during this challenging time.

Maybe leave the Foster's drinking days behind you, though, eh Tyson?
