As we celebrate 25 years of Triple H, here are some of The Game’s most memorable moments in WWE.

10. His first WWE Title

Triple H won his first WWE Title in August 1999, beating Mankind on Raw. Few achieve this feat, but it was just the start of a hugely successful career for the now 14-time champ.

9. The Curtain Call

The Curtain Call is one of the most iconic images in wrestling history. The Game broke character to share a moment with Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall before the latter two left to join WCW. Vince McMahon wasn’t happy but, thankfully, it didn’t hurt his career in the long run.

8. HBK's Return

When Shawn Michaels returned from a back injury in 2002, there were question marks over whether he could still perform at the top level. However, any worries were quickly forgotten when he put on a classic Street Fight with Triple H - his former tag partner - at SummerSlam 2002.

7. Stealing the show with Bryan

Daniel Bryan’s heroic rise to the WWE title at WrestleMania 30 was incredible and it wouldn’t have been the same without The Game. He was the perfect villain in the months leading up to the event, culminating in one of the best opening matches in Mania history.

6. Invading WCW

While the invasion angle didn’t reach its full potential, there’s no denying DX’s attack on WCW is an iconic moment. The sight of Triple H leading the group on a tank will live long in the memories of Attitude Era fans.

5. Siding with Rollins

The Game really loves to break up a stable. In June 2014, Seth Rollins betrayed his Shield brothers to side with The Authority in a truly shocking moment. Rollins quickly became a main event star while working with his former rival.

4. Breaking up Evolution

Evolution was one of the hottest factions in WWE history and their break-up was an awesome twist. Triple H's infamous thumbs down to Randy Orton, which led to Batista hitting a devastating suplex, will be remembered for years to come.

3. NXT

While his in-ring career has been a huge success, perhaps The Game's biggest contribution to the sport is NXT. The brand has gone from strength-to-strength since he took charge in 2014 and is now home to some of the best wrestling on the planet.

2. Nearly breaking the Streak

Triple H's clash with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27 is a masterpiece. He came across as a genuine threat to The Phenom’s legendary unbeaten streak, and the Atlanta crowd bought into every near fall.

1. Returning at MSG

This was without a doubt one of the most memorable returns in WWE history. The Game was on the shelf for nearly eight months after tearing his quad on Raw in May 2001, and the pop when his music hit at Madison Square Garden was deafening, It cemented his status as one of the top stars in the company.
