WWE has revealed that Jeff hardy is set to make his in-person return on next week's episode of SmackDown.
After some of WWE's teasing had fans believing that Hardy could return on last night's show, it has now been confirmed that he is nailed on to be in the next episode of the show.
It is expected that Hardy will go straight into a one-on-one battle with Sheamus after the fiery Irishman blasted Michael Cole for focusing on Hardy's return after his run-of-the-mill squash match victories over local talent in recent weeks.
There are rumours that a 'Money in the Bank' match-up is on the cards but that is yet to be confirmed by the company.
It is unlikely that it will be any kind of stunt show match, but Sheamus' recent behaviour does make him an ideal candidate for a big comeback win.
Meanwhile, SmackDown celebrated 25 years of Triple H in bizarre fashion last night with cameos from some of the biggest legends in the sport.
What many expected to be a tribute to some of The Game's greatest moments ended up being a bit of a roasting from the like of Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon, himself.
Joined in the ring by Michaels, the pair watched a video montage of some of HHH's worst moments throughout the course of a career that has spanned three decades.
Then, just when you thought it might be over, McMahon's music dropped and the boss appeared on stage, branding Triple H's time with the company 'extraordinary' before poking more fun at him.
Sadly, WWE will continue to run shows in closed-door arenas as lockdown restrictions in the USA continue in an attempt to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
However, shows with no fans are better than no shows at all if you ask us.
