Philippe Coutinho looks set to be on the move again this summer.
Coutinho would have been hoping to get his career back on track with the German giants.
However, he hasn’t hit the heights that he was expected to.
Coutinho has scored nine times in 32 games – which is decent – but not spectacular.
Bayern have an option to make the deal permanent for €120 million, but there’s no chance that they will meet that fee.
So, where will Coutinho go?
Spain publication Sport report that Coutinho’s first move after learning Bayern wouldn’t pay to make his deal permanent was to ring up former club, Liverpool.
However, Liverpool notified him that they he will not be making a return.
But he could still be making a move to Merseyside in the summer.
Carlo Ancelotti is aiming to guide the Toffees to the Champions League next season and he will be given the funds to acquire players.
Barcelona are willing to let Coutinho leave for €75m and Everton are willing to meet that fee.
He’s reportedly asked for five players and Coutinho is one of the names on his shortlist.
The news was reinforced by Bleacher Report journalist, Dean Jones.
Jones wrote on Saturday morning: “Everton could become a realistic destination for Coutinho if he is intent on a Premier League return. They continue to show big ambition in terms of transfer targets.”
So it seems that Everton want the Brazilian and are willing to splash out for him.
The only question that remains is if Coutinho wants to join them.
The 27-year-old is already despised by many Liverpool fans after he forced through the move to Barcelona in January 2018.
His reputation among Reds’ fans will, undoubtedly, get even worse if he decides to join their fierce rivals.
