Mike Tyson is famous globally for his brutal knockout power in the ring, and his colourful life outside of it.
At the height of his career in the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s, Tyson was one of the most widely recognised sport personalities in the world.
But alongside that fame has come various controversies and disgrace, including convictions for rape and drug possession.
An old interview has resurfaced when he reveals the devastation of losing his four-year-old daughter Exodus.
She was found by her brother Miguel, unconscious and tangled in a cord, dangling from an exercise treadmill.
Her mother untangled her, administered CPR and called for medical attention, but sadly she died of her injuries on May 26, 2009.
In an interview, Tyson reveals that his first thought was to ‘get my gun, automatic just like this and go crazy.’
The interviewer then asks him: "Who are you going to hurt?"
Tyson then stops him in his tracks, explaining that ‘it was his first initial thought’ before going to the hospital and seeing other peoples' kids around him dying, which made him rethink his initial dark thoughts, but still he has little recollection of what actually happened to him that day.
The interviewer then probes him by asking: "Whatever happened that day, was there a new Mike Tyson that came the next day?"
Tyson pauses before saying: "No, I did some cocaine for a week, I had to get high, I couldn’t handle it at all."
The heartbreak and pain of the tragic incident are clearly wretched across his face before the interview ends abruptly.
Tyson gives the interviewer a menacing look before saying: "You have to go," and the interview is quickly stopped.
