Steven Gerrard is without question one of the greatest players of all-time.

In the early 2000s, the all-action midfielder carried Liverpool at times and it seems criminal that a Premier League winners' medal eluded him for his entire career.

Failure to secure English football's top prize in both 2008/09 and 2013/14 will haunt Gerrard forever, but take nothing away from his extraordinary accomplishments.

He was the catalyst behind Liverpool's 2005 Champions League triumph and also secured two FA Cups and three League Cups with the Reds.

His impressive Premier League career also yielded 120 goals, 92 assists, a PFA Players' Player of the Year award and eight inclusions in the PFA Team of the Year.

However, despite all that, one Chelsea fan has decided to mock Gerrard in a Twitter thread which quickly went viral.

The thread contains six clips of Gerrard setting up opposing strikers to score and, of course, the dreaded slip features at the very end.

Gerrard sets up Didier Drogba

A decent through ball, just to the wrong striker...

Gerrard sets up Thierry Henry

This one almost beggars belief. How on earth did he not see Henry?!

Gerrard sets up Eidur Gudjohnsen

A slightly unlucky one, this. Most of the credit has to go to Gudjohnsen here for some seriously impressive anticipation.

Gerrard sets up Luis Suarez at the 2014 World Cup

What a heartbreaker this was. Gerrard's lackadaisical header fell perfectly to Suarez's feet and the Uruguayan proceeded to knock England out of the World Cup.

Gerrard sets up Henry AGAIN

Gerrard didn't have much luck with the back pass, did he? At least England still qualified from their Euro 2004 group!

The slip

The most memorable mistake in Premier League history, one that Gerrard will never live down.

They're six dreadful errors in high-profile games and there's no escaping that whatsoever.

But six mistakes - as impressive as they are - do not define the career of one of the greatest footballers to have stepped out on a pitch for both Liverpool and England.

Sometimes, football Twitter can be just a tad too petty...
