The Premier League is the greatest league in the world.
It's the most competitive - although Liverpool have gone some way to disputing that theory this season - and is home to dozens of world-class players.
It's also probably the most international league in the world. A total of 111 of the 207 foreign FIFA-affiliated nations have been represented in the Premier League.
And right now, players from 66 different nations play in the Premier League.
But who is the best player from each of those 66 countries?
Well, that's the question HITC have answered on their YouTube channel.
Let's take a look:
Albania | Armando Broja
Chelsea’s Armando Broja is the only Albanian in the Premier League, despite being born in Slough. The 18-year-old came on for four minutes during Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Everton in March.
Algeria | Riyad Mahrez
This was out of two-time Premier League title-winning and PFA Player of the Year winner Riyad Mahrez or Nabil Bentaleb.
Easy.
Argentina | Sergio Aguero
One of the best strikers the Premier League has ever seen with 180 goals in 261 appearances.
Australia | Aaron Mooy
This was between Aaron Mooy and Brighton teammate Matt Ryan. It’s not an easy decision but Mooy gets the nod.
Austria | Valentino Lazaro
After Ashley Barnes’ Austrian citizenship was rejected in 2019, he’s discounted from this discussion.
Instead, Valentino Lazaro - who joined Newcastle on loan from Inter Milan - gets the vote ahead of Christian Fuchs, Kevin Danso and Sebastian Prodl.
Azerbaijan | Renat Dadashov
The only Azerbaijani in the Premier League. Renat Dadashov is yet to play for Wolves but the 20-year-old has been capped six times for his country.
Belgium | Kevin de Bruyne
Possibly the best player in the Premier League and, after Eden Hazard’s departure, easily the best Belgian.
Bermuda | Kane Crichlow
There was no competition for Watford youngster Kane Crichlow - who is yet to play for the Hornets.
Bosnia | Sead Kolasinac
The Arsenal defender beats Mario Vrančić and Muhamed Bešić - mainly because he’s a hard b**tard.
Brazil | Alisson
It seems wrong to pick a goalkeeper for the greatest footballing nation. But Alisson is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and just pips Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino to the honour.
Cameroon | Joel Matip
Joel Matip comfortably beats Gaetan Bong as the best Cameroonian in the Premier League.
Canada | Liam Miller
The third Liverpool player in a row as 20-year-old Liam Miller gets the nod. He made his Liverpool debut in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury earlier this season.
Chile | Claudio Bravo
With Alexis Sanchez in Italy, Claudio Bravo is the only Chilean in the Premier League.
Colombia | Davinson Sanchez
There are currently five Colombians in the division but Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez just edges out fellow centre-back Yerry Mina.
Croatia | Mateo Kovacic
While Luka Modric is the greatest Croatian to grace the Premier League, Matteo Kovacic has been quietly impressing for Chelsea in the last two years. Well, he’s better than Dejan Lovren anyway.
Cuba | Onel Hernandez
Three appearances and one goal for Onel Hernandez for Norwich in the Premier League this season. He’s also the only Cuban.
Curacao | Cuco Martina
You won’t be surprised to hear Everton’s Cuco Martina is the only Curacao representative in the league. He’s yet to play a minute in the Premier League this season.
Czech Republic | Tomas Soucek
Gone are the days of Milan Baros, Petr Cech, and Tomas Rosicky. There are just two Czech’s playing in the Premier League right now - Thomas Soucek and Matej Vydra.
Soucek, who joined West Ham on loan from Slavia Prague in January and has only made three appearances, gets the vote.
Denmark | Kasper Schmeichel
With Christian Eriksen leaving Tottenham, Kasper Schmeichel claims the Danish accolade ahead of Pierre Hojbjerg, Philip Billing and Andreas Christensen.
DR Congo | Arthur Masuaku
Arthur Masuaku isn’t particularly good but he’s better than the only other Congo player in the Premier League, Beni Baningime.
Ecuador | Leonardo Campana
The only Ecuadorian in the Premier League who is yet to feature for Wolves yet. He’s got four caps, though.
Egypt | Mohamed Salah
The greatest Egyptian player of all-time who has scored a quite ridiculous 70 goals in 100 Premier League games for Liverpool.
England | Harry Kane
England captain Harry Kane beat the likes of Raheem Sterling, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson to the prize.
Finland | Teemu Pukki
He may be the only Finn in the Premier League currently but Teemu Pukki has been brilliant this season with 11 goals for Norwich.
France | N’Golo Kante
Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante beats Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Aymeric Laporte to this one.
Gabon | Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Gabon’s only representative has scored 17 goals in 26 Premier League games for Arsenal this season.
Germany | Leroy Sane
Despite not playing this season, Leroy Sane is probably the best German in England’s top tier right now beating teammate Ilkay Gundogan and Mesut Ozil.
Ghana | Jordan Ayew
Jordan Ayew beat Jeffrey Schlupp, Christian Atsu and Joseph Anang to become Ghana’s best Premier League player. In fairness, he’s notched eight goals for Crystal Palace this season - including an incredible injury-time winner against West Ham.
Greece | Sokratis Papastathopoulos
The Arsenal defender has played 19 times in the Premier League this season and is better than the three other Greeks in the division - José Holebas, Panagiotis Retsos and Konstantinos Mavropanos.
Guinea | Naby Keita
Naby Keita’s Liverpool career hasn’t gone to plan but at least he can claim to be the best Guinean in the Premier League not just now, but ever.
Iceland | Gylfi Sigurdsson
Gylfi Sigurdsson is in his ninth Premier League season and, while he hasn’t been great for Everton this campaign, is better than the only other Icelandic Johann Berg Guðmundsson.
Iran | Alireza Jahanbakhsh
The only Iranian in the Premier League has only played eight times in the league this season. But Brighton’s Alireza Jahanbakhsh did score THAT overhead kick against Chelsea.
Isreal | Bayem Kayal
Bayem Kayal is no Yossi Benayoun. The Brighton midfielder has returned from his loan spell at Charlton and hasn’t played in the Premier League this season. He does have 45 caps to his name, though.
Italy | Jorginho
Surprisingly, there are only seven Italians in the Premier League this season. Chelsea’s Jorginho is easily the pick of the bunch.
Ivory Coast | Wilfried Zaha
It hasn’t been the best season in Wilfried Zaha’s career but he still beats Arsenal’s record signing Nicolas Pepe, Serge Aurier and Eric Bailly to this.
Just three goals in 29 Premier League games this season, though, for Crystal Palace’s star man.
Jamaica | Wes Morgan
It was either Wes Morgan or Adrian Mariappa. But the 36-year-old - who has played eight times for Leicester in the league - wins it.
Japan | Takumi Minamino
Takumi Minamino has only made three Premier League appearances for Liverpool since his January move. But his only Japanese competition is Maya Yoshida and Yoshinori Mutō.
South Korea | Son Heung-Min
Perhaps the best Asian player in Premier League history. Son has scored more than 50 goals in England’s top-flight and is one of two South Koreans currently in the league - Ki Sung-Yeung being the other.
Mali | Moussa Djenepo
Moussa Djenpo started the season well at Southampton with brilliant goals against Brighton and Sheffield United. That’s enough to see him beat Yves Bissouma.
Mexico | Raul Jimenez
Wolves’ talisman has already reached his 13-goal tally from the 2018/19 season this time around and is a top quality striker. Oh, and he’s the only Mexican in the Premier League.
Montenegro | Matija Sarkic
Aston Villa’s reserve goalkeeper spent the first part of this season at loan to Livingston in Scotland. He hasn’t featured for Villa yet but has one international cap to his name.
Morocco | Romain Sais
The Wolves defender is seriously underrated and actually captains his national side. There is one other talented Moroccan in the Premier League - Sofiane Boufal.
Netherlands | Virgil van Dijk
Probably the greatest defender in world football and only teammate Georginio Wijnaldum can come close to him in this category - although that not close.
New Zealand | Chris Wood
Chris Wood or Winston Reid? Considering the Burnley striker has scored 11 goals in 26 matches this season, Wood definitely gets this one.
Nigeria | Wilfred Ndidi
One of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, Wilfred Ndidi is so underrated. The 23-year-old is crucial to Leicester and is better than compatriots Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Odion Ighalo.
Northern Ireland | Jonny Evans
Talking of underrated Leicester players…
You have to be decent to play almost 200 times for Manchester United. He probably deserved to move to bigger clubs than West Brom and Leicester since leaving Old Trafford. Although he could be back in the Champions League next season.
Norway | Sander Berge
This was out of Sander Berge or Joshua King.
Despite almost scoring 50 times for Bournemouth in the last five seasons, it was given to 22-year-old Berge who has played just four times for Sheffield United since his club record £22 million move in January.
Paraguay | Miguel Almiron
Miguel Almiron had 40 shots before finally scoring his first Newcastle goal since his club record £21 million move from Atlanta United. He’s now got six in all competitions and has shown glimpses of his pure talent.
There’s only one other Paraguayan in the league currently - Fabian Balbuena.
Poland | Lukasz Fabianski
This is Lukasz Fabianski’s 13th season in the Premier League and he’s certainly overcome the harsh ‘Flappyankski’ nickname. West Ham missed him dearly when he out injured earlier this campaign.
His only competition comes from Southampton defender Jan Bednarek and Bournemouth goalkeeper Arthur Boruc.
Portugal | Bruno Fernandes
A total of 19 Portuguese players have starred in the Premier League this season - and some talented ones at that. Joao Moutinho, Ricardo Pereira, Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota, Bernardo Silva and Andre Gomes are all sensational players.
But Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes wins this one thanks to the incredible impact he’s had since his arrival in January.
Republic of Ireland | Matt Doherty
Ireland are the fourth most represented nation in the Premier League with 26 players plying their trade in England.
But Wolves wing-back Matt Doherty is the pick of the bunch.
Scotland | Andy Robertson
The Scottish captain has established himself as one of the best full-backs in world football. He’s also a hero amongst Liverpool fans.
Senegal | Sadio Mane
Sadio Mane is one of the best players in the world - and probably the greatest Senegalese player of all-time.
Serbia | Nemanja Matic
It was either Nemanja Matic or Luka Milivojevic - hardly spoiled for choice.
Slovakia | Martin Dubravka
Martin Dubravka is one of the best goalkeepers in the league. The only other Slovakian is Ondrej Duda, who joined Norwich on loan from Hertha Berlin in January.
South Africa | Thakgalo Leshabela
The 20-year-old Leicester midfielder hasn’t played in the Premier League for the Foxes yet but is highly-rated at the King Power.
Spain | David Silva
The most represented nation after England in the Premier League is Spain with 32 players.
David Silva may have played his last match in the league but he’s graced us with his incredible technical ability over the last 10 seasons.
Sweden | Victor Lindelof
No Freddie Ljungberg, Hendrick Larsson or Zlatan Ibrahimovic these days. Instead, Victor Lindelof is one of only three Swedes in the Premier League. The other two being Emil Krafth and Ken Sema.
Switzerland | Xherdan Shaqiri
Xherdan Shaqiri has been very much a bit-part figure for Liverpool this season and probably doesn’t have a long-term future at the club.
Shaqiri beats former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka and Fabian Schar.
Tanzania | Mbwana Samatta
The one and only Tanzania-born player to feature in the Premier League. The £8.5 million signing from Genk has scored one in three league appearances.
Turkey | Caglar Soyuncu
Caglar Soyuncu has proven to be the perfect Harry Maguire replacement at Leicester and is still only 23-years-old.
In truth, he had very little competition for the best Turk in the Premier League considering there was only Cenk Tosun to deal with.
Ukraine | Andriy Yarmolenko
Andriy Yarmolenko controversially pips the only other Ukrainian, Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Yarmolenko’s first season in England was disrupted by a serious Achilles injury but has played 15 times this campaign, scoring three goals.
USA | Christian Pulisic
Still only 21, Christian Pulisic could be a future Premier League star.
He’s certainly impressed in his debut season in England, scoring five goals in 16 Premier League appearances - including a hat-trick against Burnley.
Uruguay | Lucas Torreira
The only Uruguayan in the league right now is Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira.
He only missed four matches last season and impressed hugely in a defensive midfield role.
He’s been inconsistent this time around and his long-term future at the Emirates under Mikel Arteta could be in doubt.
Zimbabwe | Marvelous Nakamba
Aston Villa’s midfielder is known for his great name, rather than his great football ability.
The £10 million signing has only played four times in the league this season but is the only Zimbabwean in the Premier League.
Wales | David Brooks
There are 11 Welsh players in the Premier League right now but the likes of Daniel James and Harry Wilson have been overlooked by a player who has been injured all season - David Brooks.
