Suarez eyes Champions League spot

Luis Suarez is still clinging on to the belief that Liverpool can qualify for the Champions League this season.

The Reds currently find themselves in sixth place in the Barclays Premier League - eight points behind Manchester City, who occupy the last Champions League spot.

Tottenham also sit above Liverpool in the only available Europa League place, but Suarez maintains the Anfield club can qualify for Europe's premier club competition if they continue their recent good form.



"We are now four points off fifth position and we have to try and finish as high as possible to leave a good impression," the 24-year-old told the official Liverpool website.

"The important thing will be next season.

"Hopefully it will go really well and we'll be able to go into the Champions League because Liverpool are a Champions League club."
