Mike Tyson’s cannabis company is in talks to become Everton’s official shirt sponsor, his business partner has revealed.

Boxing legend Tyson has launched Swissx, a firm that sells cannibidiol products (CBD), with Greek billionaire Alki David.

Last week, David revealed the company was interested in purchasing the naming rights to Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadium.

And they could also become Everton’s front-of-shirt sponsors after the Toffees ended their deal with gambling firm SportPesa.

“We are now engaged with Everton to take over their shirt. The front of their shirt,” David, who is worth £1.4billion, told Insider

“They contacted me and have already offered designs with the whole Swissx logo in blue, which I'm not crazy about, but it will look nice.”

David supports Everton, helping to explain his enthusiasm in the deal.

“When I first came to England, everybody was supporting Man United and Liverpool, and everybody was red,” he added.

“Being contrary, I liked blue and I liked the logo so randomly I selected Everton to support. So it's sort of a mystical come around.”

Since hanging up his gloves in 2005, Tyson has taken a heavy interest in growing his CBD business.

The American is building a 418-acre weed-themed holiday resort in California that he hopes will rival Coachella, the biggest festival in the United States.

Music shows will be held at the ranch, and it will also feature the world’s longest lazy river.

"I thought about how much good I could do by helping people with cannabis. It was a no brainer," Tyson told Cannabis Tech Today.

"I've been fighting for over 20 years, and my body has a lot of wear and tear. I had two surgeries and I used marijuana to calm my nerves, and it would take the pain away.”

Iron Mike earns around £500,000-per-month through his Tyson Holistic brand, according to the Daily Mail.

It will be interesting to see just how high he can help Everton go.
