WWE superstar Jimmy Uso will be sidelined for up to nine months with a knee injury, it has been reported.

The news was initially reported by Ringside News, before it was confirmed by Dave Meltzer.

It is believed the Uso twin suffered the injury during the triple threat ladder match at WrestleMania, and although the exact injury is unknown, it's believed he will need surgery.

The Usos only returned to WWE television back in January after Jimmy's arrest for DUI, but it's now likely they'll both be off our screens for the foreseeable due to his injury.

As of writing this article, WWE haven't commented on the news, but it's likely an official announcement will be made shortly.

Eagled-eyed spectators would have noticed and realised that The Usos weren't involved in a recent tag team melee on SmackDown, and now that reason has become very clear.

Instead, it was down to The New Day, The Miz & John Morrison, The Forgotten Sons and Lucha House Party to do battle in the ring.

The above mentioned tag teams will be competing for the SmackDown titles at the upcoming pay-per-view Money In The Bank.

With Jimmy set to be sidelined for up to nine months, it does raise the question about Jey's upcoming WWE schedule.

When one of the Uso brothers has been injured or suspended before, the other has been kept off TV as well.

Jey as a singles competitor for six to nine months would be interesting, but whether WWE would be prepared to do it is another matter altogether.

Horrible news for the tag team, and we can only wish Jimmy a speedy recovery!
