Chelsea will turn their attention to signing Gregory van der Wiel for £12 million to help fill their problematic right-back position.

The Dutch full-back stared for Holland in last year's World Cup and despite rumours surrounding his future at Ajax last summer, he resisted a move away.

However, with Chelsea looking to bring some much needed youth to their squad, Van der Wiel is back on the Blues' radar.

Carlo Ancelotti has been craving a genuine right-back at Stamford Bridge, something that has been a constant problem at the club with Jose Bosingwa and Branislav Ivanovic having previously failed to impress in the position.

Ancelotti isn't the only Chelsea boss to have struggled to fill the full-back slot, with Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant also having problems despite having the wealth of Roman Abramovich behind them.

But in Van deer Wiel Chelsea have found a proven talent who showed his ability in last year's World Cup and with Ajax, where he's played over 100 times where he won last year's Dutch Cup.
