Eddie 'The Beast' Hall has been talking up a fight with Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson this week.

The feud between two of the strongest men in history has been sparked after Bjornsson claimed to have broken Hall's deadlift world-record by hauling a mammoth 501 kilograms in his home gym.

And shortly after celebrating with his pals, the Icelander declared: “CoreSports just offered me a seven-year contract, I have signed it already.

“Eddie Hall has been running his mouth now for weeks and I know he has been given the same contract. So Eddie, I just knocked out your record. And now I’m ready to knock you out in the ring."

So, was Hall down for the fight? You bet he was, passionately responding on Facebook by saying: “1,000 per cent I’m going to sign those papers.

Hall vs Bjornsson?

“And you know why I’m going to sign those papers… it’s not the money, it’s not the dead lift feud we’ve got going on, nothing to do with that.

“It’s because you called me a cheat at World’s Strongest Man 2017. I can’t put that to bed, I can’t forget it. People may forget it, but you’ve never apologised.

“You think you should’ve won that year, regardless of the trophies or not, and you let people know that.”

Hall's charity boxing match

Let's be honest, we'd all love to see what would happen if Bjornsson and Hall were slugging it out with arms that could lift 1,000 kilograms or one metric tonne between them.

And it wouldn't be the first time that Hall would have laced up the gloves because fans have started to notice that the 32-year-old once uploaded footage of himself in a charity boxing match.

The entire bout, which has already surpassed one million views, can be seen on his YouTube channel and might give Bjornsson some crucial clues before any potential clash of the titans.

So, what happened? Well, the long and short of it is that Hall lost.

His rival can be seen having his hand lifted in victory after the final bell, albeit on points, even though Hall was the only fighter that managed to put his competitor to the canvas.

But sadly for the 2017 World's Strongest Man winner, the knockdown was an illegal one, sending his opponent to the ground by pushing him with both arms as if it was nothing.

In truth, it wasn't the highest quality fight you're ever going to see, but fair play to Hall for testing his skills in combat sports and not shying away from landing some leather on the inside.

And while there can be no questioning his chin considering neither fighter wore head-guards, only time will tell whether Hall can take a punch when it's 'The Mountain' throwing punches his way.
