England and Ghana played out a fascinating draw at Wembley last night in-front of a sold out Wembley stadium.

Andy Carroll opened the scoring for the Three Lions before Asamoah Gyan led the Three Lions defence on a merry dance in injury time to score a memorable equaliser for the Black Stars.

Gareth Barry impressed with the captain's armband, while Ashley Young, Stewart Downing and Jack Wilshere were also on form. Matt Jarvis and Danny Welbeck were handed debuts by Fabio Capello, but the Africans were on hand to deny the Italian a victory.

Elsewhere, Premier League stars Robin Van Persie and Dirk Kuyt (2) were on target for the Dutch in a 5-3 victory against Hungary.

Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic made his return from injury for Serbia last night in the 1-1 draw against Estonia, while Chelsea playmaker Yossi Benayoun was also back from injury for Israel in their 1-0 win against Georgia.


Blues stopper Petr Cech kept a clean sheet for the Czech Republic in a 2-0 win against Lichtenstein, while Fernando Torres' Spain won 3-1 against Lithuania.

Barclays Premier League injury news now, and both Spurs and Manchester City have been dealt injury blows with news that Jonathan Woodgate and Micah Richards face lengthy spells on the sidelines.

Finally, Manchester United have announced they will face Spanish giants Barcelona in a pre-season friendly as part of their America tour. The pair could yet meet in a Champions League final, and is sure to be a treat for the soccer fans in the States.
