Tyson Fury has just landed his first swing on fellow Brit and heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua, calling him a "big cuddly baby" and insisting that Deontay Wilder remains the most dangerous opponent out there.

A clash between the two British giants is definitely on the cards at some point, with match promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren already testing the water around the world to see where would be the perfect place for such a monumental fight.

Even without a definitive date or location set in stone yet, the trash talk between the fighters has already begun, and as always, Fury is very quick on the draw.

The Mancunian began by mentioning AJ's shock KO loss to Andy Ruiz Jr back in June, as well as the points win he managed over Ruiz Jr in the December rematch to regain his titles.

The 31-year-old explained: "One hundred per cent Joshua's not dangerous, at all, he's like a big cuddly baby.

"Why would I be a believer in him when he got knocked spark out by Andy Ruiz?

"A last-minute replacement opponent, who turned up 300lbs or whatever, didn't train, and Anthony Joshua couldn't do any good with him in the rematch.

"He doesn't have anything, he couldn't hold a candle to the Gypsy King. There's only one heavyweight out there, there's only one undefeated world champion.

"They've all fallen by the wayside. The fellow that hasn't been beat has knocked them out.

"I'm the only one, me, the Gypsy King - the unbeatable, untouchable, unbreakable champion."

Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury

Even if you ignore the worldwide lockdown due to the current pandemic, there are two major issues which are currently preventing a showdown between AJ and Fury any time soon.

AJ has been told that he has to fight Bulgarian 39-year-old Kubrat Pulev next, and Fury is scheduled into a third fight with his previous opponent, Deontay Wilder.

It has been reported that Pulev could step aside to make the all-UK fight happen sooner, but we'll have to just wait and see whether he decides to go ahead with that or not.

On top of all that, Fury still remains adamant that AJ is not his most dangerous future opponent, and that Wilder remains a serious threat with his famous KO fist.

Andy Ruiz Jr v Anthony Joshua 2 - Clash on the Dunes, IBF, WBA, WBO & IBO World Heavyweight Title Fight

He said: "I don't see anyone out there that can challenge me. I just flattened the best one out there.

"The toughest opponent out there is Deontay Wilder and we all saw what happened to him the last time out."

So, it looks like we'll be waiting for quite a while before we can feast our eyes on the British mega-fight, but at least Fury is happy to keep it ticking over in the meantime.
