A clip of 53-year-old Mike Tyson absolutely demolishing a pair of pads went viral last week, as fans noticed the incredible form that the boxing legend remains in, with some of the hardest hits you'll see anywhere.Tyson's new trainer, Rafael Cordeiro, has since explained his experience behind the pads, and it's exactly what you'd expect.Cordeiro admitted that even he was surprised at the incredible form and fitness which Tyson had managed to achieve ahead of a return to boxing.Speaking to ESPN's Ariel Helwani, as per SPORTBible, the Brazilian explained: "I didn't know what to expect."He hasn't hit mitts for almost 10 years. So I didn't expect to see what I saw."I saw a guy with the same speed, same power as guys 21, 22 years old." Cordeiro went on to talk about the moment when Tyson threw a right hook at him while they were training, a truly terrifying experience."The first time, I saw his right hook coming... I saw my life [flash before my eyes]."I saw my wife, my daughters, my dog."Despite what the clip suggests, Tyson hasn't fought in a professional boxing ring since he retired in 2005, after consecutive defeats to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.

However, Tyson has recently revealed that his upcoming boxing return will be part of a four-round exhibition fight for charity.

For charity or not, Cordeiro has suggested that Tyson is very committed to his boxing training and that he has been working with him now for "three weeks in a row, cardio, mitts, bags."

Cordeiro added:

Like I said before, 53-years-old but when he puts his mind to it, his body inside the ring - he changes.

The 46-year-old has also teased that more training footage will be released soon, showing "more power, more speed, everything."

On top of his incredible form, Cordeiro has also praised Tyson for tackling his own personal demons and transforming himself into someone he can be proud of.

The Brazilian explained: "I believe Mike fought against himself for a long, long time. He's proud to be the Mike Tyson he is today."

The thought of a 53-year-old Mike Tyson in brilliant form is surely terrifying for whoever is unlucky enough to come up against him in his return match. Unfortunately for them, it's not likely that the charity part will soften 'Iron Mike' in the slightest.
