With no live football to watch right now, football fans have been trying to keep themselves busy.

We’ve been looking back at memorable moments from yesteryear and remembering the good old days of watching the beautiful game.

Jamie Carragher has also kept us all pretty busy by naming various challenges, which include naming an XI of players with strict rules.

Only one player to have played for one club, only one nationality etc. etc. It’s certainly given us a headache in recent weeks.

But there’s a new challenge going around which gives those who don’t know anything about football a chance.

Twitter user ‘Hob’ claims he’s started a new ‘Carra challenge’ by asking his girlfriend to come up with an XI of players they know.

The catch?

She’s not allowed any help - including Google.

The XI that she comes up with includes ‘Soloman’ aka Sol Campbell at left-back, ‘Perry’s BF’ in midfield (Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain) and Bradley Dack on the wing - boyfriend of Love Island contestant Olivier Attwood.

And plenty of football fans got involved with their partner’s coming up with some pretty hilarious XIs.

Let’s analyse some of the best:

David Seaman in goal - a very popular choice. Perhaps something to do with his appearance on ‘Dancing on Ice.’ Peter Schmeichel in defence as a ‘second goalie’ is innovative alongside the ‘fit’ Olivier Giroud. Marouane Fellaini and Peter Crouch as full-back won’t lose many headers. The eye-candy of ‘Thierry Henri’ and Wes from Love Island lookalike Dele Alli would make an interesting central midfield pairing.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Steven Gerrard as centre-back pairing - superb. With John Stones, Harry Kane and Lionel Messi in midfield.

How about this one with star names everywhere you look and then a rogue Dean Whitehead - former Sunderland player - in right midfield. Love it.

One of our favourite picks - Pele at right-back. Alongside centre-backs Mohamed Sarah and Luis Suarez, with Frank Lampard at left-back. Razor Ruddock gets a call-up in midfield with Jimmy Bullard upfront. Fantastic.

The spelling of Thierry Henry is just amazing here.

Will Grigg and Harry Kane in defence, Jay-Jay Okocha at left-back, Harry Redknapp left midfield and David Wheater upfront. Speechless.

'Patrick' Alexander-Arnold and darts star Michael van Gerwen in defence is just superb. As for Jose Mane upfront...

Of course, many 'girlfriends' are extremely knowledgeable about football and would be able to name an incredible XI of players if asked to. But it's clear the girls coming up with these XIs perhaps don't care too much for football.
