Football fans believe Gareth Bale is a better player than Antoine Griezmann

FC Barcelona v Real Madrid CF - La Liga

On their day, both players are world class and there is no denying it.

Gareth Bale went from being a doubt at Spurs to being one of the world’s best in what felt like a matter of seconds.

Antoine Griezmann was also a beast at Atletico Madrid and is currently trying to replicate that form at his new side Barcelona.

GiveMeSport posted a poll on our Facebook page yesterday to see who our readers thought was the better player between the two and there is a clear winner.

Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order. Yes, you the readers voted Real Madrid’s Welshman as the better player, with the winger taking 60% of the vote.

Although it would seem that Bale’s career at ‘Los Blancos’ is coming to an end, it’s certainly had its success over the years.

In 2018, Bale scored perhaps what may be one of the Champions League finals greatest ever goals, after he blasted a bicycle kick past Loris Karius, as he went on to win his fourth Champions League whilst playing for the Spanish side.

Bale has won numerous titles at Real Madrid and has more than proved his, at the time, world record transfer fee Madrid paid to gain the Welshman’s services from Spurs in 2013.

Griezmann, who is two years younger than Bale (29), has had quite the career playing in Spain, first playing for Real Sociedad between 2009 and 2014 before jumping ship to Atletico Madrid and now making his latest move to Barcelona.

Griezmann had quite the year in 2018, first winning the Europa League with Atletico Madrid, which then later led to a UEFA Super Cup win against Bale’s Real Madrid. However, this wasn’t before the Frenchman was part of France’s World Cup winning squad in Russia. The forward played a key role in winning France their second World Cup 20 years after their first.

With both players now entering the back end of their careers, we can only be appreciative for the talent they have displayed on the football pitch, especially with the break coronavirus has caused in football as we may be witnessing their last few years in the game.
