WWE news: The Undertaker admits he was 'disgusted' with WrestleMania 33 match

Undertaker blames himself for poor showing at WrestleMania 33

The Undertaker faced off with Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 33 back in 2017.

Many expected it to be The Deadman's final match in WWE, bringing an end to his incredible 27-year career, which began way back in 1990.

All signs certainly pointed to retirement too, as the icon left his hat and coat in the ring after being pinned by Reigns to close the show.

But fast forward three years and Undertaker is still wrestling - he's had multiple matches since Reigns, notably against John Cena and AJ Styles.

His decision to carry on may have something to do with how the match went down at WrestleMania 33.

Speaking to ESPN to promote his new documentary, 'Undertaker: The Last Ride', the WWE legend revealed he was 'disgusted' with his match against Reigns.

"That was one of those times it was tough having the cameras there," he said.

"That was the first time that I watched that match back. I was so disgusted with it that I didn’t want to watch it back.

Undertaker feels sorry for how his match with Reigns went down

"As I got older... I know when I’m out there and I’m moving slow. I know when my limp is more prominent than it may be. Or when I’m behind in a spot. I just know now.

[Watching that match], I’m battling with it. I was so disappointed for Roman.

Undertaker's feelings about the match will be laid bare in his Last Ride documentary, which premiere's on the WWE Network this Sunday.

The first episode focuses on the build-up to WrestleMania 33 and that match with Reigns, while episode two covers the aftermath.

Undertaker left his hat and coat in the ring

Undertaker's disappointment with that showing in 2017 appears to be part of the reason he's yet to step away from the ring.

Had the match against Reigns gone to plan, it could have been a very different story.
