Henry Cejudo has successfully retained his title at UFC 249, but UFC fans are not happy with the official's decision to wave off the contest. After catching Dominick Cruz with a brutal knee, that sent him falling to the mat, Cejudo jumped on his opponent and started throwing punches in bunches. However, that didn't last long as the referee then jumped in the way and waved the fight off, much to the annoyance of Cruz. But, it wasn't just Cruz that was left angered, as commentator Joe Rogan immediately called it an early stoppage, as did thousands on Twitter. No doubt the knee absolutely rocked Cruz, but to wave the fight off that quickly after he was on the mat is being deemed harsh by thousands of fans.Just moments before the fight ended, both competitors were given a medical timeout due to a clash of heads, which opened up cuts on both foreheads. However, after the break, Cejudo was clearly not messing around, and he sent Cruz to the mat and successfully retained his title. But after the fight, the biggest bomb was dropped - Cejudo announced his retirement from UFC.Below you can watch the video of Cejudo announcing his news to Joe Rogan and the world.

However, here's the stoppage that is raising eyebrows amongst UFC fans.

If that was to be Cejudo's last fight, at 33 years old, then he will leave the MMA world with a professional record of 16 wins and two losses.

His only two defeats came at the hands of Demetrious Johnson at UFC 197 and then Joseph Benavidez at 'The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions Finale'.

Of course, Cejudo would later go on and get revenge on Johnson at UFC 227, winning the flyweight championship.

He then added the bantamweight championship to his collection one year later at UFC 238 by defeating Marlon Moraes.

That was then successfully defended this evening against Cruz.
