Chelsea have spent heavily on strikers this century.

Hernan Crespo, Andriy Shevchenko, Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres and Alvaro Morata were all purchased for big money to varying degrees of success.

We've decided to look at every striker they've had since 2000 and rank them from worst to best.

Only players that have played over 10 games for the club have been considered. Only performances for Chelsea after 2000 count.

Furthermore, only players that played the majority of their games as a central striker have been included.

In total, Chelsea have had 25 first-team strikers since 2000 and you can view how they've been ranked from worst to best below...

25. Franco Di Santo

Di Santo was a bit of a disaster. He was only young during his time at the club but he didn't manage to find the back of the net in 16 games for the club.

24. Radamel Falcao

Falcao struggled badly in the Premier League. He managed just one goal during his loan spell in the 2015/16 season.

23. Claudio Pizarro

Pizarro was meant to be in his prime when he was at Chelsea. He managed two goals in 32 games and lasted only one season at the club.

22. Mikael Forssell

Another youngster that failed to make the grade at Chelsea. Forssell netted 13 goals in 53 games with Chelsea.

21. Carlton Cole

Cole never became a first-team regular at Chelsea. Still, eight goals in 31 games for a young player isn't too bad.

20. Adrian Mutu

Mutu managed 10 goals in his first season for the club. He was then sacked after testing positive for cocaine.

19. Mateja Kežman

Kezman was one of Jose Mourinho's first signings at the club. He managed seven goals in just 41 games.

18. Gonzalo Higuain

The Argentine managed just five goals in 19 games. It's no surprise that his loan move wasn't made permanent.

17. Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku is a tough one to rank. He didn't score a single goal in 15 games for the club but was often used as a substitute. He soon showed that Chelsea were wrong to sell him.

16. Loïc Rémy

Remy managed 12 goals in 47 games in what was an unspectacular spell.

15. Demba Ba

Ba scoed just 14 goals in 51 games for the club. He did manage to net one of Chelsea's most memorable goals in recent history after THAT slip by Steven Gerrard.

14. Andriy Shevchenko

The Ukrainian striker netted 23 goals in 77 games. He was a big disappointment given he cost Chelsea £30.8 million.

13. Michy Batshuayi

Batshuayi has his fair share of critics at Chelsea. 25 goals in 77 games, despite spending most of his time on the bench, isn't a bad return.

12. Daniel Sturridge

The English striker managed 24 goals in 96 games. Given his early success at Liverpool, Chelsea may have regretted selling him.

11. Alvaro Morata

Another big disappointment. Despite his poor spell, he still only just misses out on a place in the top 10. That goes to show the quality of Chelsea's strikers since 2000...
