Chelsea's strikers since 2000 in order from worst to best (10-1)

10. Samuel Eto’o

Eto’o was in his 30s when he played for Chelsea. He scored 12 goals in 35 games for the club, which isn’t too bad.

9. Olivier Giroud

Giroud has spent much of his time at Chelsea on the bench. Despite hitting the back of the net just 21 times in two-and-a-half seasons, he offers much more then just goals. He deserves more playing time.

8. Hernán Crespo

Big things were expected of Crespo, who started his career off at the club with a screamer against Wigan. But he never adapted properly to English football and scored just 25 goals in two seasons.

7. Fernando Torres

Torres may be considered a flop given he signed for £50 million. But he did have his moments for Chelsea, including playing a huge role in their Champions League triumph in 2012. He notched 45 goals in four seasons with the club.

6. Tammy Abraham

Abraham is a tough one to rank. He’s scored 15 goals in 34 games in his first full season at Chelsea, which is a good return.

He could crack the top five if he continues to find the back of the net.

5. Nicolas Anelka

Anelka was a good signing for Chelsea. He netted 59 goals for the club and won the Premier League Golden Boot in the 2008/09 campaign.

3. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

Hasselbaink certainly knew where the back of the net was. A lethal goalscorer, the Dutchman scored 87 times in 177 games for Chelsea.

2. Diego Costa

Costa bullied defenders during his time at Chelsea. Signed for £32 million, he averaged just under a goal every two games and helped the Blues to two Premier League titles.

Unfortunately, his spell at the club was prematurely cut short when he fell out with Antonio Conte.

1. Didier Drogba

Drogba just had to top this list. He has been such an influential figure in Chelsea’s success this century.

He hit the back of the net 164 times in 381 games for the club. The Ivorian 14 trophies during his time with the Blues and played a massive role as Chelsea shocked Bayern to win the Champions League title in 2012.

Drogba is one of Chelsea’s best ever players and it will be a while until they have a striker better than him.
