New slow-motion footage from Floyd Mayweather’s win over Conor McGregor has emerged on Twitter and it shows just how dangerous the American is and was that night.
The video – which was shared by @AllForBoxing on Twitter – shows the UFC star taking some huge blows, and what makes it look even worse was the fact it was all in slow motion.
The fight – which took place in Las Vegas back in 2017 – has been described as ‘the biggest in combat sport history’.
Mayweather won by TKO in the 10th round to extend his incredible unbeaten record to 50-0, however, McGregor put on a respectable showing in his first professional boxing match.
And the Irishman says a rematch is “inevitable” in the near future.
“With the knowledge I now hold of Floyd’s style, plus the tutelage of my old school boxing coach, I will crack the puzzle,” he wrote on his Twitter page.
“I will beat Floyd. I promise my life on it.”
However, Mayweather recently denied rumours of a return to the ring, stating he would only consider ‘entertainment’ fights.
“I’m retired, I’m through with boxing,” he told Fight Hype.
“I’m older and a lot wiser. I don’t want to end up like my uncle and end up like a lot of fighters when you don’t know when to hang it up.”
Mayweather returned to the ring in December 2018, defeating Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition match via a first-round knockout.
Meanwhile, McGregor beat Donald Cerrone in just 40 seconds in his comeback fight at UFC 246 back in January.
The Irishman recently made the headlines once again as UFC 249 was held behind closed doors in Florida, Jacksonville.
The former two-weight champion called Khabib Nurmagomedov “the biggest bottle fighter in the game” and also criticised Tony Ferguson’s preparation for his fight with Justin Gaethje in an explosive Twitter rant.
