Former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen believes current light heavyweight king Jon Jones could beat up boxing legends Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali in the very same day.

Of course, boxing and UFC are two very different sports, so this is merely an opinion of Sonnen's, but it's certainly a bold statement to make.

Tyson and Ali are two of the very best to put on a pair of gloves and grace the ring, and even though Jones is one of the greatest to ever step foot inside the Octagon, claiming he could beat them both in the same day is a huge claim.

Sonnen actually came across Jones during his career in UFC, way back in 2013, and it ended pretty badly for the former. The fight ended in the very first round with 'Bones' winning via TKO.

That win was one of 26 for Jones in his illustrious, albeit controversial, career. Inside the cage it's impossible to question the American, but away from it is where the question marks arise, with issues with the law seemingly occurring too often.

Jones will comfortably go down as one of the greatest in UFC history, and will certainly go down as the greatest ever light heavyweight champion, but would he be able to beat two of the greatest heavyweight boxers in the very same day?

Speaking about said event, Sonnen claimed: "For him to pay tribute to Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali earlier was a very nice thing for him to do, but the reality is that Jon Jones could beat Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali in the same day."

Sonnen concluded by saying: "I don't think he understands how good he is."

This isn't the first time the now ESPN analyst has heaped praise on Jones, though. He has also claimed he is the best ever.

UFC 247 Jones v Reyes: Weigh-Ins

"When he says he wants to be the best ever, Jon, newsflash buddy, you are the best.

"As far as tying Tito Ortiz, maybe he had a couple more wins, but he hasn't had the competition that you've faced.

"I'm not going to try to degrade Jon. He's a world champion, he's the best in the weight class and he's the best the weight class has ever seen."

So it's very clear Sonnen is a BIG admirer of Jon Jones, but whether his claim is accurate is certainly up for debate.
