Erling Haaland returned to the scoresheet as the Bundesliga resumed after the coronavirus pandemic. The wonderkid scored the first goal of the weekend as his Borussia Dortmund side thrashed Schalke 4-0 in the Revierderby. The Norwegian has now scored 41 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for Red Bull Salzburg and Dortmund this season. But Haaland didn’t just make headlines for his goal on Saturday. He also made headlines for his bizarre post-match interview. The 19-year-old was asked a series of questions after the match, which he gave one-word answers to before walking off at the earliest opportunity.

It was all very strange and awkward.

But it was typical of Haaland.

Throughout his short career, he’s been making journalists’ life very difficult indeed during post-match interviews.

And now, a video has gone viral titled: ‘I don’t think Erling Haaland is programmed for Interviews’.

It shows a series of incredible post-match exchanges with reporters, with Haaland clearly having absolutely no interest in giving any juicy quotes.

He literally doesn’t care, does he?

We’re not sure who is warier of coming up against Haaland on a matchday - defenders or journalists?

The Dortmund superstar did eventually say a few more words after his side’s victory on Saturday and admitted he wasn’t surprised that he scored against Schalke.

"I'm not the same. I have not been playing games, as you say, for seven weeks. But I know I have been working hard this period and I'm not surprised [that I scored]," he said.

Please don’t change, Erling.
